Enrique Ros Receives Herencia Prize

Cuban-American author Enrique Ros received the Herencia Prize before a large audience on Tuesday, October 18th. The award was presented during the presentation of his 17th historical book, Vicente García: El Incomprendido Mayor General Cubano. Among those present were Reverend Marcos Antonio Ramos, Dr. Horacio Aguirre, and the author’s daughter, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

The Herencia Prize is given to prominent Cubans and Cuban-Americans who have significantly contributed to preserving Cuban culture while promoting freedom and democracy in Cuba. Past recipients of this prestigious award include architect Nicolas Quintana, journalists Josè Ignacio Rivero and Ariel Remos, painter Gina Pellón and Monsignior Agustín Roman.
