Manuel Carbonell, a sculptor whose work could be imposing or intimate, sensuously abstract or intricately realistic, died Thursday at the age of 93.
The Cuban-born artist died from natural causes at Kindred Hospital Coral Gables, his 87-year-old sister Angela by his side, as she had been through most of his life in the United States.
